Lux Event Decor – Client Terms and Conditions

These are the standard terms of client business of Lux Event Decor (LED), of Unit Salisbury, Maryland., and all work undertaken by LED shall be on these terms unless specifically varied in writing and agreed to by both parties prior to the event.

1. Event Booking Details

1.1 All bookings will be regarded as provisional until a signed copy of these Terms & Conditions has been received from the client, along with a non-refundable deposit for the required services (as set out in Clause 2.2 below), and only if accepted by LED will the booking be confirmed. 

1.2 LED requires a $75 refundable security deposit at the moment of reservation for Kids soft play events. It can be paid via check by mail or Credit Card. Amount is requested to cover any broken and/ or damaged items as well as any cleaning fee due to severe stains. Once LED staff is ready to pick up the equipment, items would be inspected and amount to be refunded would be determined. LED agrees to refund the deposit within 10 business days via check once all playground has been cleaned and inspected deeply.

1.3 The playground is rented for 4 hours of entertainment. Extra hours are available for an extra charge if available. Bounce House and single items have different cost so please ask when inquiring.

2. Price & Payment

2.1 It is strictly the responsibility of the representative of the Client confirming the booking to inform all relevant parties of the payment terms, as set out by LED.

2.2 Deposit – A deposit of 50% of the total fee payable (including VAT), as quoted and agreed in the written proposal (attached), of any event or programme shall be payable on confirmation of the order. The remaining 50% shall be known as the “balance”.

2.3 Balance Due – the balance of the total fee shall be payable 10 working days prior to the event date.

2.4 Additional Expenses – any additional expenses or fees resulting from any changes made by the Client, that have not been quoted in the agreed proposal but subsequently incurred by LED, will be invoiced separately. 

2.5 Late Bookings – Should a booking be made within 15 working days of the event date, payment in full will be required to secure the event.

3. Cancellation

3.1 If reservation is cancelled before scheduled date due, deposits paid won’t be refunded. If activity/ event is cancelled due to weather conditions and/ or unforeseeable events before playground installment, deposit won’t be refunded but activity/ event can be rescheduled. Reschedule date would need to be within a 4-month period. If weather related issue occurs during rental period once playground is installed, payment won’t be refunded, and rescheduling won’t be possible.

3.2 If event is outdoors and the day of the event rain or possibility of rain is shown on the forecast LED won’t be able to set up outdoors unless an indoor option is provided. If no indoor option is available at the moment rescheduling option will be offered within a 4-month period. If no rescheduling is possible renter is able to cancel rental but with a 50% cancellation fee of the balance due (as set out in Clause 2.3 above)

4. Liability

4.1 On some events, the activities that the Clients will undertake may be inherently dangerous. Adult supervision is required at all times for Kids soft play events, As such neither LED or its employees or agents shall be liable for any damage, loss, delay or expenses caused to the client, its employees, agents, licensees or invitees or any other persons attending the event. 

4.2 LED offers rental of equipment and expects that all renters use it safely and cautiously. Upon pick up, soft play equipments would be inspected by LED staff and if shoe prints, food and/or drinks, mud, face painting or any other stains are found, a $200 deep cleaning fee may apply depending on the severity of the stains.

4.3 Any item that is damaged or broken due to negligence and/ or misuse would be subject to a cost of replacement. Any amount of cleaning and replacement would be deducted from the $250 security deposit collected and charged to Credit Card any outstanding balance.

4. Safety measures and Soft play rules

  • NO shoes allowed in LED area and equipment. Parents must wear socks. No heels allowed at any time.

  • No smoking in and around the playground area.
  • Playground is only for the usage of children 5 years and under.

  • Parents are responsible for ALWAYS watching out for their children.

  • Maximum capacity of playground is between 10-15 children at once depending on playground. Bounce house has maximum capacity of 6-8 people at the same time.

  • Food, drinks and sharp objects of any type are NOT allowed. No candy, frosting or any type of food or drinks is allowed.

  • No face painting, confetti and glitter allowed within LED equipment. It stains and damages the equipment.

  • No pets are allowed in any of our equipment.

  • LED equipment is NOT allowed to be taken out of the playground.

  • Only LED equipment is allowed within the playground. Strollers, car seats, bouncers and/or any other baby/ kid item are NOT allowed within the playground.

  • Children and/ or parents vandalizing or not making good usage of equipment would need to vacate the playground premises and won’t be allowed to enter again.

  • All balls from ball pit need to be put back inside upon pick up.

  • Equipment cannot be taken apart nor moved. Fences CANNOT be moved nor removed from playground at any time.

  • LED equipment is not meant to get wet. Water activities inside or nearby are strictly prohibited.

5. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the United States of America and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts.
